• Madame Justice Jean Permanand CMT SC, Chair of the Law Reform Commission of Trinidad and Tobago

* Justice Elton Singini SC has resigned as President of CALRAs upon his return to the Bench, having been the Chairman of the Malawi Law Commission for 10 years. Justice Singini was involved in the establishment of CALRAs from an early stage. He was then elected as CALRAs' first President. CALRAs' achievements so far owe much to him and to his wise and warm leadership. Professor David Weisbrot, previously CALRAs' Vice-President, has agreed to serve as Acting President, pending elections to be concluded at CALRAs' next conference (in September 2007).
